My storyI’ve called myself a “writer” since I was 10 years old. I’ve always appreciated words because they are my tools to express, tell stories, make people laugh, make people cry -- happy tears, of course.
I have a raw ability to organize ideas, and put them on a page, and feel an energy from it that I still can’t explain. Naturally, this passion stuck with me into adulthood. Throughout college my plan was to be a journalist. I dabbled in it once I graduated ... and it was fun. I was using my words, my tools. But, it wasn’t quite striking the cord I thought it would. With an opportunity to foster my other passion — family — I joined my family’s business as a (get this) Sales & Marketing Director. I did this for 7 years ... Gulp! Honestly, I loved the customers, I loved the relationships I developed, I loved the unlimited potential, and the opportunity to be a leader. What I didn’t love? I wasn’t using my words. So, to fill that void I started helping a few friends with their resume .... Boom. This was IT! What started off as a side job has now turned into a new love, a new passion and before I knew it I was on my way to being a Certified Professional Resume Writer. Finally all the pieces are connected! How can someone love writing resumes, you ask?! I am hooked on connecting with my clients, bringing all of their amazing attributes to the surface, helping them uncover their achievements, and building a career brand that makes them feel ahhhhh-mazing! Happy tears always welcome.
